A. Eligibility

This League uses only the following criteria for consideration of prospective members.

1.            Age:   Any prospective member shall have passed her 24th birthday prior to June 1 of the year of her proposal.

2.            Interest in Voluntarism

3.            Commitment to community service.

4.            Interest in developing her potential for voluntary community participation.

B. Sponsorship of Members

Prospective members for membership shall be sponsored in accordance with such roles and regulations as the Board of Directors may from time to time adopt. Active, Provisional, and Sustaining members may sponsor no more than three (3) prospective members each year. Members may not sponsor relatives. Relatives are defined as daughters, step-daughters, daughters-in-law, nieces, first cousin and wives of first cousins, and nephews. Each prospective member for admission shall have a minimum of two (2) sponsors: one Liaison who is an Active or Provisional in good standing and one (1) sponsor who is an Active or a Provisional member in good standing. The third sponsor may be an Active, Provisional, or Sustainer in good standing.

C. Privileges of Membership

A member in good standing is defined as one who satisfactorily completes the following:

1.            Fundraising obligations

2.            Placement requirements

3.            Financial obligations

4.            Meeting attendance requirements

5.            Committee obligations
