Where does the money go?

Christmas Magic is this weekend! Do you know why the Junior League of Wichita Falls continues to host Christmas Magic every year? Or what it does with the money that is raised?

The Christmas Magic Market began in 1981 as a new project to fund the the Junior League of Wichita Falls Community Plan. Our Community Plan outlines the projects the we support yearly through not only monetary backing but with our members’ time. The idea that sprang Christmas Magic was spurred by the desire to create an event in Wichita Falls for our neighbors, friends and families to enjoy that would also help raise the necessary money to support that years’ Community Plan.

The Junior League of Wichita Falls has raised over $3.2 million during the 35 Christmas Magic Markets that we have hosted. That money has gone directly back into our community through projects like CrimeStoppers, YMCA Miracle League, Habitat for Humanity, Rathgeber Hospitality House and many, many more.

So invite your friends and family out to make some Merry Memories (this year’s theme) at the Christmas Magic Market which is taking place this weekend, Thursday, Friday, November 2nd 3 through Sunday, November 5th downtown at the Wichita Falls at the MPEC.
